Paradise Spring Historical Park, Wabash Indiana
I try to ALWAYS have my camera with me. It seems like whenever I go somewhere, either alone or with someone, I find myself somewhere I have never been before. That is exactly what happened this past Saturday. I rode along with my mom and grandma to Wabash Indiana to do some shopping. We ended up at this park that I had never seen before. This sign talks about the "Big Four Cut".
I didn't notice the part on the sign saying "The reef is located on private property, please view it from afar." and there wasn't anyone around, so I went in for a closer look. I hate the sky in these pics, but its all I have had to work with for about a week now.
And a little closer. As I was walking away from this spot, I heard a train. I ran back in hopes of getting a shot of a train coming through "The Big Cut" but the train was on another track, and never materialized.
Along the riverwalk itself, there are a few areas to get down to the river. Here is a picture of a train bridge crossing the flooded Wabash River.
A little about the Wabash River.
The riverwalk in the foreground with some cabins from the first settlers in Wabash County, IN.
Another of the cabins located in the park.
I will need to return here on a sunny day with my bike. For more information on this park, as well as pictures check out THIS SITE
