Downtown After Midnight (11-24-2009) 2:20-3:00 AM (click images for full size)
Well it was another night of sitting at home with nothing to do. If you read my blog from today then you know that I have been doing a lot of that lately. I was in the mood to learn something new with the camera. I have always been a point and shoot kind of guy. Anyway I decided to go for a walk downtown early this morning with Helen and our dog Zoey to try my hand at some night shots. Go easy on me now, this was my first attempt. This was taken from the S.E. corner of the square, check out the traffic light that is both red and green. This was a result of the slow shutter speed. There was also some light fog forming.
Taken from the South side.
Looking to the West down Highway 26. Where is everyone?
This is from the North West corner of the square.
I finally figured out what camera setting was causing everything to have a red hue! Better late than never I guess. Here is Helen and Zoey, taken from the West side of the square.
I had to take this picture again, without the redness in the shot. SE corner.
On the way back home, I snapped this one right in front of the News Times building, Christmas is just around the corner ;o) Not the best picture, but I wanted to get one of the snowflake. If you have not seen them yet also check out my daytime shots of downtown taken Labor Day 2009.
This one was taken a couple of weeks ago. I went out to the cemetery with my parents to take some pictures for findagrave.com. This was just a quick shot I took as we were leaving. I debated on whether or not I liked this pic, I decided that I did, so I am including it as the last picture here because there is nowhere else to put it.
